@unison1089 writes: I love staring at my lamp during the evening. The different layers of light and shadow reflecting on the ceiling oddly calm me down. For me the shape of it is sculptural beauty at its best. It is an Artemide Pirce Sospensione by Guiseppe Scutella.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ For an upcoming S&W project on beauty, please do send us the most beautiful thing you can think of. @saiffaisal.designworkshop writes: This industrial looking glass bottle is appreciable at many levels - cultural, social, ecological, economical and emotional. ⠀ The ingenious ‘codd-neck’ or ‘goti soda’ as it is popularly known to us is in India is one of the most frugal mass consumer product design/ packaging I’ve ever come across. This bottle with a marble in its neck uses the carbonation in the beverage itself to seal it. It doesn’t even waste a cap every time someone opens it and it gets refilled as long as it exists. .⠀ This I believe is a beautiful product catering to the industrialization with a great inherent frugal & sustainable design essence. ⠀ It is quite an occasion to pop it with just a push down with the finger and the experience it gives a person having the soda with the marble moving in the neck makes it all the more enjoyable, it increases the sensory feeling of sound.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ For an upcoming S&W project on beauty, please do send us the most beautiful thing you can think of. @holmesylogic writes: This capital M metal sort, from (I believe) a Helvetica typeset, was shown to me whilst working as a first-year student in my University’s letterpress workshop. It is, in fact, the very last M of this size that they possess, and so despite its rather significant damage, it remains very much in use.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ For an upcoming S&W project on beauty, please do send us the most beautiful thing you can think of.
