โ€ผ๏ธThe Glute Bridge/Hip Thrust has been getting all the rage lately in common pop and athletes alike & for good reason While research is catching up to anecdotal evidence, โš ๏ธseems that horizontal loaded exercises can have a better crossover to speed/acceleration improvement due to focus on hip extension + Glute/hamstring workโš ๏ธ, especially if the individual has an advanced training age which is why I'm putting @bcope51 through this as his @nfl offseason picks up But even if you're just using this to get a bit of growth in the ๐Ÿ‘, or a new move, some things often come up Many people focus too much on trying to get hip extension at the top of the motion by thrusting hips forward excessively (which often over extends back doing more harm than good) ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿพโ€โ™‚๏ธ instead of realizing that the hip extension should occur naturally if you engage your glutes which will complete this hip extension moment. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ Basically this is when there's no break in your hips and you look like a tabletop as you can see of Cope in second photo as he performs a single leg variety hip thrust Now, โ–ถ๏ธif your extension is inhibited due to ACTUAL tight hips and not simply just a control issue or form problemโ—€๏ธ, I love this sequence to introduce improved range and then solidify it via core control and Glute activation Banded Hip Opener 3D Hip Matrix Dynamic Leg Swings on back Plank Prone Lying Leg Lift, focus on squeezing Glute first and then raising leg Bird Dog Glute Bridge on back w/band Loaded Hip Thrust (if proficiency has been established Check out the story highlight "Hip Opener" for a couple of the moves in addition to link in bio for the 3D Hip Matrix If visuals are better than words for you, I'll film this all soon I guess

๐Ÿ’ก As a kid I was always interested in everything from salons to creative retreats to shit like the Transcendentalist movement--anything and body that seemed to foster and seek environments for inter or intrapersonal critical discourse Or maybe it was just I was 1 of 7 kids and was looking for an out to be by myself as an introverted kid ha As I continued to age, a reoccurring theme of "creatives" I noticed seemed to be the search for seclusion to be alone with their thoughts and to attack the things they've been putting off. Solve the "important" vs "urgent" dilemma So one random thing I do, is once a month or so , I book a hotel room, grab the books that I know I SHOULD be reading, a journal, and attack the things that I've been, well, putting off.
