Loving all these gorgeous photos of your kids supporting and sharing #AdEnough. Bless! Thank you to everyone who has already got involved but we still need to keep this going with more of your photos if we really want the government to intervene and help protect our kids from junk food marketing! Don't forget to hashtag #AdEnough!
THANK YOU We’ve been blown away by the support for #AdEnough! You’ve also asked loads of good questions. Here's the most asked from you all. Keep reading below. Your Question: “Isn’t it down to PARENTS to look after their kids, not brands?” YES . But advertising is a powerful thing – we know that it works, otherwise why would brands spend millions of pounds doing it! Restricting junk food ads is a really important way we can HELP parents. Balance is everything – and these junk ads are tipping scales in the wrong direction! WE all know what pester power feels like, so we need to give parents as much support as we can against the pressure of these adverts because of successful marketing and brand presence, 70% of 3-year-olds recognise the ‘golden arches’ before they can read and write! That’s crazy! So get involved make some noise about #AdEnough
So many of you have shown your support for #AdEnough including big names in the sport, health and food worlds, and government. Love it keep them coming! This campaign isn’t about stopping big brands from advertising full stop; it’s about making sure kids aren’t being targeted with unhealthy products. It’s about controlling the time and place. This could be a really key moment in our fight against childhood obesity and I’d love you to be part of it. Post your pictures with the hashtag #AdEnough and let’s make this happen!
