Not an active rest day but I couldn’t resist taking advantage of this today! Feeding my soul 💜 these are the moments that put my mind at ease. We are so busy nowadays trying to accomplish all of our tasks with not enough time in a day... when I get a chance to just do this, I take it all in. I am blessed to be on such a beautiful island, this is where my heart is. I can’t imagine being anywhere else in this moment. The wind in my hair, the warm sun on my skin, the peace in the scenery, I am just in awe. I can’t wait until my kids get to experience this with me 💋❤️💜 it isn’t until then, my heart will feel complete 🍍🌴🌺 #wedothework

One thing I can’t stress enough when striving to achieve a better physique is allowing your body some time away from dieting. I see too many people stressing about always wanting to be lean and in a caloric deficit that they never allow their body to rest, recover, or grow. . If you want to put on any amount of appreciable muscle then stop doing bodybuilding show after bodybuilding show. Stop trying diet after diet and start to learn how to live a more healthy and balanced lifestyle when it comes to the gym and nutrition. Not only will you be much happier but this will serve you and your physique goals better long term. . I haven’t competed in a bodybuilding show since 2014 (4 years ago). I honestly don’t know if I ever will step on the stage again but if I do you know damn well the physique Im going to bring compared to the last time will be night and day.

Today’s Sunday thoughts: What does your self talk sound like? Is it positive? Do you tell yourself “you can do this” “you’ve got this” “this is easy!” “I am capable” Or do you say to yourself “you suck” “why is this so hard?” “how do other people do this?!” “I’m never going to make it” Recently, a lot of my inner self talk has been the latter. And that’s NOT okay. If you want to be successful in life, it all begins with you. The way that you approach every workout, every meal, every interaction is going to determine how your day, week, month, year, life goes. Remember that the next time you say something rude to yourself. What you expose yourself to on a daily basis, you begin to believe. Choose the positive!

Boy do I have a diet hack recipe for you guys!!! German Chocolate Cake protein doughnuts😍 if you have followed me for a while you know I have been a die hard Ice Cream Sandwich Level 1 fan from day 1! But this new flavor has changed the game I was sceptic but it legit tastes like cake!! Okay, now enough raving on to the recipe: Makes 6 doughnuts For the doughnuts you’ll need: Non stick cooking spray A doughnut pan 1/3 cup coconut flour 1/3 sugar substitute (I used Truvia) 1/3 cup German Chocolate Cake Level 1 2 tsp cocoa powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/3 cup unsweetened cashew milk 2 egg whites 1 whole egg For the toppings you’ll need: 2 tbsp coconut oil 3 tbsp German Chocolate Cake Level 1 3 tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips Shredded coconut(optional) Crushed walnuts(optional) Preheat oven 325 degrees In a small bowl combine dry ingredients (coconut flour, sugar substitute, Level 1, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder) In a medium bowl combine wet ingredients (vanilla extract, unsweetened cashew milk, egg whites and egg) Gently fold in dry ingredients into wet Put the batter in the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes For glaze: Melt coconut oil and combine with Level 1 and add topping as desired! There’s one thing I’ve always been pretty good with, patience. . I find myself to be a patient man most of the time, sure I have my moments where I’m irritated and rushed and need shit to happen. But one thing that learning to be patient has helped me with is becoming Disciplined. . Like Consistency, Patience can build Discipline. It can give you the tools to know that things take work. They take time. And if you’re patient, thinking of the long term; the snipers greatest tool is patience, cause if they wait just for the right moment they can accomplish it all ten moves ahead over trying to get it done fast and sloppy. . Do it right. Slow is fast as the sloth says. . . . . .

Building the baby one shoulder workout at a time! Got a lot done today around the house, getting ready for our trip Tuesday, picked up meals, and got in a workout! Had my -1 lemon meringue and post workout 😋😋 and am About to crush another @fitstyle_foods meal for dinner before I start packing! Here’s what I did today! A few videos are from the last shoulder day with @fitninja9 😁💪🏼💯 . . . . Shoulder and a little abs— . -dumbbell press military 3x12 -Superset prone DB Y raise overhand 3x10 (no vid sry) -DB side raise (vid w bands for a challenge!) -SS backward overhand press 3x10-12 -(video) shoulder set: 1. Sunrise raises palm up 2. Lateral raise into front raise and repeat it = 1 rep!! 6-9 full reps! 🔥🔥 -standing reverse cable crunch 4x15 -SS standing DB side bend 2x15 (I moderate these for my back but normal sets are 3-4 rounds) Try it out!! Super excited to go on vacay Tuesday and then see family and friends in BAMA!!! Woooo!!! #wedothework
