So near and yet so far... The first time I went to Paris I was 19 and took a bus and ferry with @jess_senecal to stay with her family in St Germain. Loved it. On the way back we all got stuck in some immigration black hole overnight in Calais. It was LONG. Just like I have no intention of having a nose ring again, I don’t really want to go back to queuing for England. Just saying. If I don’t, neither does anyone else. The @fashionroundtable Brexit Paper was completed and shared with our friends and stakeholders yesterday. We have agreed to an embargo until Sunday as a Sunday leading newspaper has decided to feature it. Given that fishing (which makes £1.9bn) is regularly discussed by the media and politicians, whereas fashion (which makes £29.7bn) isn’t, we felt this was important. @samuelnicholls12 @es_vic @navkl @dhingra.swati and @tamaracincik have worked collaboratively in the paper, designed by @byfarr . Yesterday was a year to the day Article 50 was triggered and a year until the UK hits Transition, half-way through the negotiations exactly. The paper is based on survey responses, Roundtable engagement and all of you: the @fashionroundtable family who are growing daily. Thank you. @tamaracincik was interviewed about our Brexit work yesterday while attending #ukinachangingeurope ‘s annual conference, listening to speeches from academics, politicians and journalists.
