Lifting good, eating good, feeling strong 🌸 Shrinking your body isn’t always the answer ✌🏼 Fun fact: The more you eat, and let your metabolism adapt, the more muscle you have, and the harder you push and trust the process the MORE your body will work with you. Some things I remind myself of and you should as well if you’re looking to get results LONG TERM are: * ALL macronutrients are equally important to maintain a healthy body * Not all calories are created equal, but nothing needs to be restricted. * Low carb diets are not sustainable long term and impact thyroid function (negatively) * Your body burns more or less energy based on SO many factors (hormones, stress, blood sugar, NEAT, BMR, weight etc.) * Over exercising can negatively effect your body, train SMART. * Your body is a reflection of your lifestyle, your health is a reflection of your lifestyle. NOT one day. Now along with gaining muscle and repairing your metabolism for physique reasons, helping your body by fueling it is SO important as an athlete athlete to take care of your natural hormonal function, and internally taking care of your organs. As athletes (people who workout and/opush their bodies regularly) we already need MORE calories to have energy and strength throughout the day and help our bodies recover. Some things to keep in mind ↙️ •Every person needs a different amount of fuel •Finding out if you have a damaged metabolism could mean looking at how many calories you are eating to maintain •Realizing that you PROBABLY will have to get uncomfortable and eat more in order to help yourself in the long run. I can tell you that initially eating a lot more scared me, I was over dieting about a year ago. But changing my mindset again, dedicating myself to increasing how much I’m eating again, yeah it scared me. When I think about my future I don’t think about what my diet will look like. I think about moving, traveling, experiencing. I think about that and THEN I think about wanting to be in a sustainable place where I can trust my body, fuel myself SMART, not have a restrictive mindset. And the steps I need to take to get there. #healthyliving

Way Back Wednesday mixed with Face To Face Friday to bring you the “3 Faces of Arp” 752 days of progression. • I know I say this all the time but seriously, Anything is possible if you do not give up. If you have a major goal, visualize it, then right it down, hold it in your hands and chase it. You have the ability to make your dreams a reality. For far to long we’ve been taught that what we want in life is out of arms reach and honestly it’s not. Yes great things take time, but the journey is worth it; the long nights, the the tears, everything is worth it. • Look at how miserable I used to look. That misery is a result of not meeting my own standards in life. I couldn’t live up to what I wanted to be. I was not happy with ME, and I wasn’t putting ME before anyone else. Once I figured that I was WORTH IT, @arnone65 & myself put together the game plan of where I wanted to go and how I was going to get there, and guess what, over time, IT GOT EASIER. Once I believed in myself the results and progression started to flourish! • I am not done with my journey, I’m not satisfied, and I will never get complacent, but today I have things I used to dream of. I have a neck now, a jawline, I even have some traps, I can look down and see my toes, I can bend down to tie my shoes. Seems like small things but for a long time those were just imaginary and goals I would strive for. Today I have them. Now I’m excited for what tomorrow will bring. Never Give Up. Always Believe In Yourself. Your Success knows no boundary.

I feel like grapefruit can be an acquired taste, right? I wasn’t on team grapefruit when I was little and then when I was 5, I somehow had high cholesterol. Yeah you read that right 😕. What 5 yr old gets high cholesterol?? You know me, always a trailblazer 🙄. So my parents did everything they could do bring it down to a healthy level. This included my dad cutting up a grapefruit for me every morning with breakfast. He would eat it with me to make me feel better and sprinkle a little sugar on top to counteract the bitter flavor😍. Now I love grapefruit because it brings back memories of my dad, and that makes them even sweeter ☺️ . . . . living
